Choc Chip Cookies

A simple, nostalgic treat made with pantry staples, buttery, soft choc chip cookies dotted with dark chocolate. Perfect for cosy days or sharing with friends.

Ingredients
• 150g butter, room temperature
• ½ cup brown sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 egg• 1½ cups flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 100g dark chocolate chips
• Small pinch of salt
Method
Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and vanilla using a wooden spoon.
Add the egg and chocolate chips, stirring until fully combined.
Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt until a soft dough forms.
Scoop the dough into 10 small balls using two tablespoons and place them evenly on the tray.
Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden on the edges.
Serving & Storage
• Best enjoyed fresh and slightly warm
• Store in an airtight tin for up to 4 days
• Can be frozen raw as dough balls and baked from frozen when needed
